Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Bistro Cook to join our team at Island Hospitality Management. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality food dishes that exceed our guests' expectations.

About the Role:

  • This position is available on a full-time basis with variable hours based on guest occupancy and seasonality.
  • You will be required to work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment, ensuring timely preparation and presentation of food items.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Prepare and cook a variety of food items according to Island Hospitality's brand standards and recipes.
  2. Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to local health and safety codes and regulations.
  3. Assist with receiving and stocking food and beverage supplies as needed.
  4. Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
  5. Clean and sanitize equipment, utensils, and work areas throughout the day.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with standard kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly and stand for long periods.
