Sous Chef Leader

Join our team at Jacumba Hot Springs Hotel, a boutique hotel located in the heart of the San Diego Sonoran Desert. We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to assist the Executive Chef in leading our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting exceptional dishes, collaborating with the Executive Chef on menu planning, and contributing to the overall success of our restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and presenting dishes
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef on menu planning
- Contribute to kitchen operations and staff management
- Train and educate staff on food safety and handling
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should have 1-2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Lead Cook in a high-volume restaurant, preferably with opening experience. Strong knowledge of food health and safety regulations, menu planning, and customer service skills are essential.
Salary Range
$70,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience
