Job Description

**Job Summary:**

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Specialist 2 to join our team at Union Bank & Trust Company. As a key member of our banking software support team, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support to our end-users, analyzing complex issues, and implementing process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Support (75%):
    • Provide expert-level support for banking software applications, including troubleshooting, resolving issues, and escalating complex problems to vendors.
    • Oversee the daily performance of banking software applications, ensuring seamless operation and optimal user experience.
    • Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful implementation and support of banking software applications.
    • Manage support ticket requests from front-line support, researching and escalating issues as needed.
    • Complete change management requests, representing changes in accordance with change management policies and procedures.
    • Research and analyze complex issues surrounding banking software processes and systems, making recommendations for process improvements.
    • Troubleshoot and develop technical solutions related to banking software, creating workaround procedures when standard procedures fail.
  • Systems Analysis & Projects (25%):
    • Implement small to medium-sized project initiatives and releases, ensuring predictable and consistent project delivery.
    • Participate with product development teams to define product requirements, collaborating with clients to understand their information processing needs.
    • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of banking software applications, staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
    • Test, maintain, and monitor computer and application server programs and systems, coordinating the installation of computer programs and systems.
    • Understand and adhere to all bank policies, laws, and regulations applicable to this role, completing compliance training and following internal processes and controls.
    • Report all compliance issues, violations of law or regulations, in accordance with bank policies.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in Loan Origination/Operations/Servicing/Training, with a strong background in banking software applications.
  • nCino Commercial Loan Origination System Administrator Certification within 18 months of start date.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other financial system software.
  • Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts, with hands-on vendor management experience.

  • Independent with a team orientation, able to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.

Working Environment:

This role is eligible for hybrid work-from-home opportunities under the work-from-home guidelines upon completion of onboarding.
