Overview:
The Healthcare Applications Specialist is responsible for the analysis, design, testing, debugging, integration, implementation, maintenance, and support of healthcare and business-related information systems. This role involves close collaboration with various business units to thoroughly understand the strategic goals, processes, services, and future plans of our customers. Building and nurturing professional relationships with both internal and external stakeholders is essential to effectively address IT requirements. Additionally, this position includes mentoring junior analysts as necessary.
- Convert user needs into detailed technical specifications
- Develop and sustain application processes utilizing proprietary software tools
- Foster relationships with clients to improve their technology experience
- Oversee vendor partnerships and evaluate deliverables
- Assess the implications of new software on current systems
- Diagnose and resolve technology-related issues
- Create system documentation and prepare training materials
- Conduct testing of new systems and secure customer approval
- Collaborate with cross-departmental teams to enhance processes
- Draft communications for scheduled implementations and modifications
- Engage in departmental projects and committees
- Remain informed about technological advancements through ongoing education
- Associate or technical degree in Information Technology, healthcare, or business
- At least 2 years of experience in healthcare or business analysis
- Proven experience in the implementation and support of vendor software
- Epic certification is mandatory
- Additional Epic certification must be acquired within 4 months of employment
