Role Overview:
This position is integral to the Lunar Permanence business unit, focusing on the development of Blue Origin's Blue Moon lander product lines.

To support our mission of establishing a sustainable infrastructure for transporting crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface, we are seeking a Systems Engineer for the Lunar Permanence Program Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Requirements, Verification, and Certification (RVC) team.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the execution of program-level requirements and verifications essential for the development of the Human Landing System (HLS) and Human-class Delivery Lander (HDL).
- Collaborate with Blue Origin LP elements, our National Team Partners, and NASA to ensure alignment and success.
- Develop and implement baseline plans for technical standards in partnership with Blue Origin and NASA technical leads, overseeing the verification process with element SE&I leads.
- Establish protocols for requirement variances (deviations, waivers, and exceptions) and manage the lifecycle of all variances against Program and NASA requirements.
- Track metrics to communicate progress on technical standards and variances.
- Perform high-caliber technical work and provide exceptional technical leadership.
- Utilize sound engineering and business judgment to ensure efficient design, manufacturing, procurement, testing, qualification, and delivery of products.
- Work independently towards long-term objectives, determining the technical goals of assignments and developing innovative solutions.
- Promote and embody Blue Origin's leadership principles while providing guidance to element teams.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Proven experience in utilizing design and construction standards for complex systems.
- Skilled in identifying and addressing requirement non-compliances, including rationale and mitigation strategies.
- Familiarity with NASA development programs.
- Ability to build trust and maintain professional relationships, contributing to an inclusive culture.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- A minimum of a B.S. degree in engineering or a related technical field.
- U.S. citizenship or lawful residency is required.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with the Blue Origin SLD Program (MK1 or MK2).
- Background in verification programs for complex spaceflight or aviation systems.
- Proficiency with requirements and V&V tracking tools, particularly JAMA.
- Experience in Agile team environments.
- Knowledge of NASA design and certification standards for human spaceflight.
- Familiarity with NASA's flight readiness certification process for new systems.
- Experience with NASA lunar, deep space, or planetary missions.
- Involvement in large, complex programs with multiple stakeholders.
