Position Overview:
We seek a seasoned positive displacement pump engineer to lead the design of innovative LH2 and LOX pumps for our Lunar Lander, supporting NASA's Artemis mission.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the design, manufacturing, and testing of cryogenic positive displacement pumps.Bring your technical acumen, leadership abilities, and commitment to excellence to enhance the safety of human spaceflight. A passion for our mission and vision is essential.
You will collaborate closely with NASA and our National Team Partners as part of the Human Landing System (HLS) Sustaining Lunar Development (SLD) initiative.
Your role will be pivotal in shaping the Lunar Transportation system that aims to return humans to the Moon and establish a lasting human presence beyond Earth.
Qualifications:
B.S. in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field
7+ years of experience in comprehensive cryogenic pump design
Professional experience in designing components such as piston rings, check valves, drive linkages, and pump bodies for cryogenic fluids like LOX, LH2, or LNG
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Creo preferred) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools (ANSYS preferred)
Skilled in creating engineering drawings with GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Ability to foster trust, maintain positive professional relationships, and contribute to an inclusive culture
Exceptional verbal, written, and graphical communication skills, with the ability to collaborate directly with external stakeholders, including government and commercial entities
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum
Willingness to work on-site with occasional travel

Experience in all phases of integrating pumps into space vehicle applications

Compensation:
Compensation range for on-site CO applicants is $125,481-$175,672.
Compensation range for on-site WA applicants is $136,467-$191,053.
Compensation range for on-site CA applicants is $136,467-$191,053.
Other site ranges may differ.
