Senior Systems Engineer for Crew and EVA Operations

Position Summary: This role is pivotal in shaping the future of space exploration. As a Senior Systems Engineer, you will be instrumental in the development of reusable and safe space vehicles, fostering a culture centered on safety, collaboration, and inclusivity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage requirements for various EVA and Crew Systems hardware.
  • Engage in all facets of requirements generation, verification planning, and certification for the next crewed lunar lander.
  • Implement the program's requirements management strategy throughout its lifecycle, ensuring successful verification and certification.
  • Participate in functional and performance requirements, leading integrated analyses and planning verification and validation activities.
  • Represent your system in cross-functional trades and impact studies related to architecture.
  • Collaborate closely with NASA and National Team Partners on the Human Landing System (HLS) program.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Over 8 years of experience in Systems Engineering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of systems engineering processes and technical budgets.
  • Familiarity with space systems design and requirements, including thermal, vibration, shock, and EMI/EMC considerations.
  • Experience with crewed space flight systems and human factors.
  • Ability to foster trust and maintain professional relationships in a diverse environment.
  • U.S. citizenship or lawful residency is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of lunar environments and exploration systems.
  • Experience with requirements management tools like JAMA.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering modeling tools such as Cameo.
  • Experience in Human Spaceflight processes and standards.
