Regional Sales Manager

The Word & Brown Companies is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Sales Manager to promote the sale of our group benefit products to brokers in the assigned territory. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires strong sales and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Promote the sale of all Word and Brown General Agency's products to brokers in the assigned territory
- Develop and maintain relationships with Carrier partners to increase distribution of products in the assigned territory
- Work with the Director of Field Sales to develop key sales techniques and assist brokers with creatively designing presentations
- Conduct seminars for various broker audiences and interface heavily with an inside sales representative to enhance a team sales effort
- 2-3 years industry experience in group health insurance sales
- Must have 2 years industry experience in small group sales
- Knowledge of the small group market competition
- Extremely self-disciplined, ability to work with minimum supervision
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
- Success driven, ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Requires a professional demeanor
- Ability to conduct one-on-one, face-to-face sales presentations as well as make presentations in front of large groups
- Fluent in the English language
- Working knowledge of carrier portfolio and related products and services
- Computer literate and excellent telephone communication skills
- Ability to multi-task under pressure
- Adhere to all PHI (Protected Health Information) and HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) guidelines
- College education
- Must hold an active California State - Health and Life Insurance License
