Hotel Equities is a distinguished hotel development and management firm, recognized for its excellence in hospitality. We are currently seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Inspector for our SpringHill Suites location.

Role Overview:

The primary objective of this position is to enhance guest satisfaction by ensuring that all guest rooms are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort through effective supervision and coordination of housekeeping staff.

  • Oversee the daily operations of room cleaning staff to ensure efficient and thorough housekeeping.
  • Verify that all rooms have been serviced by reviewing the daily cleaning logs and notifying relevant departments as necessary.
  • Manage urgent requests for room changes and ensure timely responses.
  • Conduct inspections of all check-out and stay-over rooms to confirm adherence to company cleanliness standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of room statuses and submit daily reports to the housekeeping department.
  • Monitor the quality of cleaned rooms through regular inspections and documentation.
  • Prepare maintenance requests for any necessary repairs or replacements of furnishings and fixtures.
  • Ensure the proper storage of cleaning carts and the maintenance of equipment at the end of each shift.
  • Assist in the quarterly inventory of linens and supplies.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed, including securing linen chutes.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments, such as front desk and engineering, to enhance guest experiences.
  • Strive to exceed guest expectations through exceptional service.
  • Provide training and guidance to new housekeeping staff members.
  • Ensure compliance with all housekeeping standards and procedures.
  • Facilitate communication between departments to improve guest satisfaction.
  • Assist in managing room inventory to optimize revenue while maintaining high guest satisfaction levels.
Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent is required. Experience with major hotel brands is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Majority of tasks performed indoors with a controlled environment.
  • Walking and standing are essential for the duration of the shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 15 lbs regularly and maneuver equipment weighing up to 250 lbs occasionally.
  • Must possess the ability to bend, stoop, and stretch to complete cleaning and inspection tasks.
  • Requires effective communication skills for interaction with guests and team members.
