Dedicated Clinical Counseling Supervisor Wanted
Position Summary:
The Clinical Counseling Supervisor will oversee the Counselors and Counselor Interns delivering therapeutic and case management services to clients, ensuring adherence to all relevant laws and regulations as well as BayMark's policies and procedures. The supervisor will guarantee prompt documentation of client services in alignment with the care plan. It is essential to recognize additional physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs for assigned clients. The supervisor will also be responsible for managing related expenditures in a financially responsible manner according to the organization's budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Counselors and Counselor Interns providing therapeutic and case management services to clients, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and BayMark's policies and procedures.
- Ensure prompt documentation of client services in accordance with the care plan.
- Identify additional physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs for assigned clients.
- Ensure adherence to all organizational and funding expectations.
- Manage related expenditures in a financially responsible manner according to the organization's budget.
- Travel as required.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Must hold a Licensed Clinical Addiction Counselor (LCAC) certification, preferably in Kansas.
- Experience supervising Associate Level counselors and ability to guide counselors in developing and updating ASI, PCPs, Crisis Plans, etc.
- Proficiency in tracking skills using spreadsheets (Excel, pivot tables, etc.).
- Knowledge of quality assurance file reviews and peer audits, including CARF requirements.
- Preferred credentialing with Alliance and Cardinal MCOs.
- Preferred experience with MCO authorization.
- Possess patience, empathy towards clients, and the ability to communicate positively with both staff and clients.
- Successful completion of a drug screening and criminal background check.
