Senior Human Resources Advisor

The Senior HR Generalist role is integral to the Human Resources team, reporting directly to the HR Manager. This position encompasses a wide range of regional HR responsibilities.
- Addressing employee relations challenges and conducting comprehensive, fair investigations. Collaborating closely with management to identify suitable resolutions and outcomes.
- Partnering with management to effectively navigate issues related to policy interpretation, disciplinary actions, performance evaluations, and terminations.
- Administering and interpreting labor contracts and grievance procedures.
- Supporting the management of the company’s benefits programs, including the communication and delivery of benefit plans during New Hire Onboarding and Open Enrollment periods.
- Overseeing the administration of leave of absence programs.
- Conducting employee exit interviews.
- Contributing to the creation and implementation of new initiatives, plans, policies, and procedures.
- Coordinating the recruitment process for both exempt and non-exempt roles in collaboration with the HR Assistant and hiring managers.
- Developing and proposing innovative approaches, programs, and policies that enhance the selection and retention of high-performing teams.
- Building strong relationships across all organizational levels and maintaining a positive rapport with both employees and management.
- Assisting in the development of a comprehensive database of job descriptions and role profiles.
- Supporting the execution of annual performance evaluations.
- Performing additional duties as assigned.
The Senior HR Generalist serves as an advocate for both the organization and its workforce, requiring a balanced demeanor, impartial perspective, meticulous attention to detail, and a collaborative approach.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or SHRM/HRCI Certification is preferred.
- Three to five years of generalist experience with a focus on Employee Relations is required.
- Full cycle recruitment experience is essential.
- Experience in a unionized environment is advantageous.
- Familiarity with UKG is a plus.
- Must demonstrate flexibility in job responsibilities and adapt to a dynamic environment committed to delivering exceptional service to all employees.
- Ability to uphold a high level of confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with all levels of staff and management.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Comprehensive knowledge of HR administration principles, policies, procedures, and employment law.
