Vice President of Finance

The Chief Financial Officer will play a pivotal role in delivering comprehensive business and operational insights, alongside strategic financial guidance, to serve as a vital partner and trusted consultant to the CEO, executive leadership, and board members. This position is crucial for fostering growth, enhancing profitability, generating cash flow, and maximizing equity value. As an integral member of the Senior Leadership team, the CFO will report directly to the CEO and take on a strategic role in the overall governance and administration of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Regularly review and update accounting policies to align with current GAAP standards.

Audit Oversight:

  • Manage the preparation and execution of financial audits to ensure they are free of issues.
  • Collaborate with external auditors to streamline audit processes.
  • Address and resolve any audit findings promptly.

Financial Closing:

  • Guarantee that the monthly financial close is finalized within a specified timeframe.
  • Review and authorize all closing activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.

Financial Reporting:

  • Ensure accuracy and timeliness of monthly financial reports.
  • Present financial statements to senior management and the board.

Risk Management:

  • Develop and maintain strong internal controls to protect company assets.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks through proactive strategies.

Tax Compliance:

  • Oversee the preparation and submission of all tax returns.
  • Formulate tax strategies to optimize the company’s tax position.

Financial Planning:

  • Lead financial planning initiatives by assessing project performance and risks.
  • Implement systems across finance and accounting functions tailored to the company’s needs.

Corporate Governance:

  • Review compliance with lender requirements and manage reporting schedules.

Banking Relationships:

  • Maintain and nurture relationships with banking institutions.
  • Lead efforts in securing financing for operational needs.

Team Leadership:

  • Supervise finance staff performance and set clear objectives.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Business or Finance.
  • CPA certification is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in a senior financial leadership role.
