Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Advancement Associate to join our team at Wellnest Emotional Health & Wellness. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving specific fundraising outcomes, departmental administration, database management, external affairs activities, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Events and Fundraising:
    • Manage, execute, and drive annual fundraising events, campaigns, and appeals.
    • Work closely with the Advancement Team to secure corporate and community sponsorships.
    • Manage event RSVP lists with great attention to detail, input accuracy, and donor information.
    • Coordinate logistics related to event planning, implementation, follow-up, and acknowledgement.
    • Oversee tasks associated with community engagement opportunities, campaigns, and events.
    • Build and maintain relationships with vendors, including scopes of work, bidding, negotiations, follow-through, and payment.
  • Database Management:
    • Manage fundraising performance reports from donor databases.
    • Manage prospect pipelines, lists, and reporting for Advancement and other purposes.
    • Lead efforts to uphold data integrity, accuracy, and consistency.
    • Responsible for gift processing and acknowledgement production.
    • Input donations, pledges, and gifts-in-kind in constituent relationship management (CRM) systems.
  • Administrative:
    • Ensure timely and appropriate tracking, reporting, and recognition of in-kind donations.
    • Produce mailing labels as needed for mailings.
    • Generate reports as needed for board meetings, donor tracking, etc.
    • Manage mailings from creating lists, printing, and stuffing while meeting mail date deadlines.
    • Assist the VP of Advancement & External Affairs with donor cultivation and stewardship activities.
    • Support all Advancement Department activities and donor relation programs, including the annual fund, fundraising events, and legacy gifts.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience:
    • Undergraduate degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in business, communications, public policy, or a related field. Graduate degree preferred.
    • 2 to 5 years of direct and relevant work experience, preferably in a non-profit organization. Proven success in coordinating large-scale community events.
  • Certificates, Licenses, and Registrations:
    • Must possess and maintain a valid CA driver's license and insurable driving record.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
    • A strong commitment to advancing Wellnest's mission.
    • Bilingual (Spanish) skills are preferred.
    • Exemplify superior organizational skills and an ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
    • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment and discretion.
    • Ability to maintain a high level of ethical and professional standards in accordance with agency and community policy.
    • Excellent communication skills with an ability to speak with tact, clearly, and persuasively.
    • Demonstrate an ability to manage difficult or emotional client situations.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and cultivate relationships to work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
    • Skilled in engaging and working with diverse individuals and groups to accomplish established goals.
Working Conditions

Employee regularly works out in the field and in an office environment. Employee may be required to work flexible, evening, and/or weekend hours for time-sensitive projects.
