Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Graduate Program Coordinator to join our team at The University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of the Semiconductor Science and Engineering graduate and undergraduate programs, including program admissions, student events, and faculty support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate program admissions, including prospective student inquiries, application assistance, and faculty review and decision processing.
  • Manage fellowship nominations and maintain admissions records.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive mentoring program, in coordination with other relevant UT units and organizations.
  • Work with program director and TIE Workforce Director to manage SSE scholarships, including recruiting, selection, administration, and reporting.
  • Coordinate student office space and maintain student records, including grades, qualifications, and milestones.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in an academic coordination role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal communication skills, organizational skills, attentiveness to detail, and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and experience working in an academic coordination role, and familiarity with engineering programs.
  • More than three years of administrative work experience.
  • Experience planning events.
Working Conditions

The standard work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Periodic work outside of normal business hours, to include evenings and weekends, may be required on a periodic basis or for special events.
