Job Title: Academic Program Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Academic Program Coordinator to join our team at The University of Texas at Austin. The successful candidate will provide programmatic and administrative support for the UT Public Health Coalition (PHC) and the Texas Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health Research (TISGMHR).

Responsibilities:
  • Manage daily operations, including purchasing and procurement of supplies, and coordinate committee meetings.
  • Coordinate seminars and in-person gatherings of research and community impact scholars.
  • Liaise with steering committee to update program communications and coordinate meetings across university units and leadership.
  • Monitor and identify potential funding opportunities and support philanthropic activities.
  • Assist steering committee and teaching subcommittee in curriculum planning and development.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree and three years of responsible level experience in program management and coordination, or master's degree and two years of above experience.
  • Proven ability to prioritize responsibilities and manage concurrent projects, while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral communication, and writing skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in public health.
  • Experience working in an academic environment and supervisory experience.
