Job Description

The Strategic Technical Account Manager plays a critical role in owning an assigned client relationship from a technical services perspective post-installation. As the focal point of contact for an assigned key client and sites, this individual is responsible for providing technical expertise and support to ensure seamless integration of Nihon Kohden products with customer IT and information systems.

This highly technical role requires a deep understanding of Nihon Kohden products and their applications. The Strategic Technical Account Manager will work closely with internal teams to resolve technical issues, provide hands-on debugging, and coordinate resolution efforts. In addition, this individual will work in partnership with sales teams to drive proactive improvement and maintain an actively managed relationship with assigned client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing technical expertise and support.
  • Proactively manage client relationships to ensure satisfaction and drive business growth.
  • Lead and participate in troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues on behalf of assigned clients.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure successful completion of support tasks and activities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, sales teams, and internal stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Network certification (e.g., Cisco) and solutions architect certification (e.g., AWS) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in networking, network design, and issue troubleshooting.
  • Enterprise software development experience and client relationship management experience.
  • Service project management experience and previous experience as a software engineer, service manager, or solutions architect.

Competencies:

  • Strong technical knowledge of products and systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite and other relevant programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work cohesively with various specialties, including construction, IT, electrical, and similar.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated range for this position is $96,000 to $142,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including skills, education, experience, and location. Nihon Kohden offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.

Working Conditions:

The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion.

Travel and Access to Customer Sites:

Approximately 80% travel is required for this position. Access to customer sites is essential for this role, and vendor credentialing expenses will be paid/reimbursed by the Company.
