Job Description

The Strategic Technical Account Manager plays a critical role in owning and managing client relationships from a technical services perspective. This individual serves as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, ensuring client satisfaction and proactive management of the client relationship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts, providing technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Proactively manage client relationships, identifying opportunities for growth and improvement.
  • Lead and participate in troubleshooting and resolution of technical issues on behalf of assigned clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure successful completion of support tasks and activities related to reported issues or processes.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their business needs and providing tailored solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field; relevant education and experience accepted in lieu of degree.
  • Network certification (e.g., Cisco) and solutions architect certification (e.g., AWS) preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in networking, network design, and network issue troubleshooting.
  • Enterprise software development experience and client relationship management experience.
  • Service project management experience and previous experience as a software engineer, service manager, or solutions architect.
  • Strong technical knowledge of products and systems, proficient with Microsoft Office suite, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with various specialties.
  • Ability to work cohesively in a collaborative team environment and make decisions in a timely manner.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation and Benefits:

The anticipated range for this position is $96,000 to $142,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, experience, and location. Nihon Kohden offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.

Working Conditions:

The regular hours for this full-time position are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday, unless otherwise stated by the department manager. Holiday, weekend, and evening work hours may be required. Regular hours may vary due to the needs of the organization or department and are subject to change at any time at the Company's discretion.

Travel:

Approximately 80% travel required, with frequent visits to customer sites and participation in training and development programs.

Must be local to the San Diego, CA area.
