Yoh, A Day & Zimmermann Company is seeking a dedicated and proactive IT Learning Development Specialist to collaborate with our IT Department.

This role is pivotal in producing comprehensive written technical documentation and engaging video training materials focused on our software applications.

The selected candidate will also contribute to the development of training resources for various enterprise learning initiatives. Ideal candidates will possess a background in technical writing and have experience in crafting educational materials tailored for adult learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with IT implementation specialists and subject matter experts to ascertain learning requirements.
  • Utilize expertise to create or enhance training materials and documentation.
  • Manage multiple projects effectively while demonstrating a high level of comfort with technology.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Instructional Design, Business, Information Technology, Education, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in software or technical training development, or technical writing.
  • Proven ability to organize complex content into clear and accessible training deliverables.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong collaborative abilities, with experience in interviewing or facilitating discussions to gather information from experts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing impactful training programs and materials for learners or end users.
  • Experience in managing projects to completion with minimal oversight.
  • Familiarity with creating user guides or online help documentation is advantageous.
  • Experience with tools such as Camtasia Studio, Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, MadCap Flare, or Adobe Robohelp is a plus.
  • Graphic design experience is also beneficial.
