Job Summary

$16 per hour. Weekends Required.

As a Front Desk Representative at Courtyard Indianapolis Capitol, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service during their stay and settling their account upon completion. Your primary responsibilities will include registering guests, making and modifying reservations, hotel operator and concierge duties, and providing attentive, courteous, and efficient service to all guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Register guests and ensure a smooth check-in process.
  • Make and modify reservations, including room assignments and rate quotes.
  • Provide hotel operator and concierge services, including answering guest inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Settle guest accounts and handle payment processing.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including guest information and hotel operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless guest experience.
  • Participate in emergency procedures and respond to guest needs in a timely and professional manner.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent required; College coursework in a related field is helpful.
  • Experience in a hotel or related field is preferred.
  • Positive and upbeat personality with a desire to deliver outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to multi-task, be detail-oriented, and problem-solve in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic arithmetic skills and ability to handle cash and credit transactions.
  • Knowledge of hotel operations, including room management and revenue control.
  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
