About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Field Service Operations Manager to join our team at Hussmann. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the service operations within a district, ensuring seamless execution of contracts, emergency services, and customer maintenance and growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Development: Lead and develop a team of field service technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with customers within a specific district, identifying opportunities for growth and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Operational Excellence: Collaborate with the Area Service Manager to develop forecasts, cost-savings opportunities, and risk assessments, ensuring the efficient execution of service operations.
  • Contract Management: Assist in the creation, review, and validation of customer contracts and estimates, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Talent Acquisition and Development: Support the talent acquisition process for Service Technician positions, including recruitment, candidate selection, and onboarding.
  • Performance Management: Conduct performance appraisals for assigned Service Technicians, providing feedback and coaching to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Safety and Compliance: Demonstrate and enforce all workplace safety policies, including OSHA and other applicable regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as assigned by the Area Service Manager or other senior management.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent, or five years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in a field service operations role, with a strong background in leadership, customer relationship management, and operational excellence.
  • Skills: Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks in a fast-paced environment. Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
  • Additional Requirements: Working knowledge of basic refrigeration and/or commercial refrigeration and HVAC is preferred. Valid driver's license and safe driving record are required. Travel within the region may be required.
