Job Summary

The Rental Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and processing rental agreements for customer rentals of Caterpillar and allied equipment. This role is critical to the day-to-day execution of the rental business, requiring a high level of organization, communication, and technical skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Rental Agreements: Process rental agreements, manage customer relationships, and ensure timely delivery of equipment.
  • Administrative Support: Provide general administrative tasks in support of the Rental team, including data entry, record-keeping, and reporting.
  • Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Equipment Knowledge: Develop a strong understanding of equipment applications, features, and benefits to effectively communicate with customers.
  • Technical Skills: Possess excellent technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products and Caterpillar's Dealer Business System (DBS).
  • Communication: Demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and telephone communication skills to effectively interact with customers, colleagues, and management.
  • Problem-Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues, manage conflicts, and improve processes.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with the Rental team to achieve business objectives, share knowledge, and provide support as needed.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required
  • Experience in Equipment Rental Industry: Preferred
  • Technical Aptitude: Must have excellent technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products and Caterpillar's Dealer Business System (DBS).
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and telephone communication skills.
  • Customer Service Skills: Deliver exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Organizational Skills: Possess excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
Physical Requirements

The Rental Coordinator must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods, lift, carry, and maneuver items up to 20 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
