Patient Care Coordinator

Overview

Dental Care Alliance is seeking a dedicated Patient Care Coordinator to enhance our clinical team by delivering exceptional patient service and satisfaction. This role is essential in fostering a collaborative environment where all staff members and patients feel supported. The Patient Care Coordinator will manage phone communications, address patient inquiries, schedule appointments, and assist in the execution of treatment plans while ensuring financial arrangements are handled appropriately. Flexibility in managing requests and projects from other team members or management is crucial. A high standard of customer service and communication skills is required for this full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

The Patient Care Coordinator serves as the initial point of contact for all patients and visitors. Responsibilities include:

  • Welcoming patients, checking them in, and scheduling future appointments.
  • Managing incoming phone calls and responding to patient inquiries.
  • Providing assistance to patients based on received training to ensure optimal service delivery.
  • Exhibiting excellent customer service by greeting patients warmly upon arrival and departure.
  • Addressing patient questions and concerns in accordance with company policies.
  • Maintaining the appointment schedule, including confirming appointments and following up on cancellations or no-shows.
  • Registering patients accurately in the system.
  • Processing charges and payments to patient accounts.
  • Checking voicemail regularly to ensure timely responses.
  • Upholding a clean and welcoming waiting area for patients.

Qualifications

Ideal candidates will possess:

  • Experience in a dental, medical, or healthcare setting is preferred.
  • Familiarity with insurance plans (HMO/PPO) is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in handling telephone communications.
  • Outstanding customer service skills.
