Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at Community Hospital East. As the first point of contact for visitors, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Check in and out patients, schedule appointments, and register patients
  • Verify demographics and insurance information
  • Handle telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries
  • Enter data into our system and obtain authorizations as needed
  • Pre-register new patients and refer them to the appropriate department
  • Collect point-of-service payments and perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Two years of experience in customer service or a healthcare office setting
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficient in data entry and Microsoft Office suite of products
