POSITION TITLE:
Assistant Professor in Human Nutrition and Food, Family and Consumer Sciences
POSITION OBJECTIVE:
To provide instructional support within the Human Nutrition & Food unit of Family & Consumer Sciences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Primary duties involve teaching undergraduate courses related to Human Nutrition and Food, as well as the Didactic Program in Nutrition & Dietetics (DPND).
ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS:
Responsibilities will also encompass contributions to professional service, departmental activities, and university initiatives.
REMOTE WORK POLICY:
This role necessitates on-campus presence to effectively support campus stakeholders.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Possession of a master's degree in human nutrition, nutrition science, or a closely related field, along with a minimum of three years of professional experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) status, an earned doctorate, or five years of post-credentialing experience. Experience in higher education teaching, program assessment, and/or management is desirable. Active involvement in the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics or state affiliates, along with experience mentoring dietetic students, is also preferred. Strong communication and collaboration skills that foster an inclusive and equitable environment are essential.
