We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Assistant Professor of Latin American History to join our team at the University of Wyoming.
Job Summary:The Department of History at the University of Wyoming invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position, at the assistant professor level, in the field of Latin American history. Preference for pre-20th century Central or South America.
Key Responsibilities:- Teach a 2:3 course load, including undergraduate core classes in History (for example, a world history survey and general historical methods and theory) as well as undergraduate and graduate electives in Latin American history.
- Teach classes in their area of expertise.
- Contribute to the Department of History's funded M.A. program by teaching graduate classes and supervising M.A. students.
- Undergraduate advising and departmental service are also expected.
- A Ph.D. or equivalent is required by the time of appointment.
- Expertise in Latin American history.
- Experience and excellence in teaching.
- Cutting-edge and dynamic research.
- Complements department's existing strengths.
