Job Title: Assistant Professor in Wyoming and the American West
Job Summary: The University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenured track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor in the Department of History. We seek a candidate with expertise in any time period or thematic specialty, broadly defined, whose research and teaching would strengthen the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach a 2x3 course load, including the survey class "Wyoming History" in fall and spring
- Teach an undergraduate or graduate course in Western and/or Wyoming history
- Contribute to the Department of History's funded M.A. program by supervising M.A. students
- Participate in undergraduate career advising and departmental service
Requirements:
- Ph.D. in History at the time of appointment
- Research excellence, high-quality teaching, and a commitment to fostering a supportive and dynamic academic community
