The University of Wyoming invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in Sensory Biology at the rank of Assistant Professor. We seek an outstanding scientist who conducts mechanistic studies to address fundamental or translational questions in the sensory systems.
Key Responsibilities- Develop a strong, extramurally funded research program to understand the biology of a Sensory System.
- Contribute to the teaching missions of the Physiology and Biology degrees and interdisciplinary graduate education.
- Participate in appropriate service activities, including serving on departmental, college, and university committees.
- Doctoral degree and postdoctoral experience in neuroscience, biomedical sciences, physiology, or a related field.
- Excellent written, oral communication, and formal presentation skills.
- High potential for an extramurally funded research program and visionary leadership.
- Demonstrated capacity for effective teamwork and collaboration.
- Multiple publications as a main contributing author in the field of Sensory Biology in peer-reviewed scientific literature.
- Demonstrated history of quality of work and innovation.
- Evidence of competency in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level.
