Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our international sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Industrial sector across North America.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the North American market for plastic components in the industrial sector.
Develop and Implement Sales StrategiesDevelop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth and market penetration targets.
Build and Nurture RelationshipsBuild and nurture relationships with key decision-makers to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions.
Lead Contract NegotiationsLead contract negotiations and close deals with new clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction and alignment with company goals.
Collaborate with Internal TeamsCollaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, quality) to deliver customized solutions.
Monitor Market TrendsMonitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and identify new opportunities.
Manage Sales PipelineManage sales pipeline and forecast accurately using CRM tools.
Prepare and Present ProposalsPrepare and present compelling proposals that showcase our capabilities and value proposition.
Represent the CompanyRepresent the company at industry events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
Achieve Sales TargetsAchieve sales targets through proactive business development and strategic account management.
Provide Market InsightsProvide market insights to internal teams to drive product development and innovation.
Ensure ComplianceEnsure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all sales activities.
Requirements
- Education
Ideally hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.
Experience3-5+ years of proven experience in sales or business development in either plastic, packaging, injection molding, blow molding, contract manufacturing, or B2B industrial component sales.
SkillsStrong understanding of plastics, materials science, and manufacturing processes including tooling, plastic processing & assembly processes.
Technical SkillsAbility to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.
Quality SystemsWorking knowledge of Quality systems including ISO 90001.
Communication SkillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Results-OrientedResults-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.
CollaborationAbility to work collaboratively within a team and build relationships based on trust.
Benefits
Full-time, direct-hire position with a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $110,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience. Additional benefits include a car allowance, commission bonus, 6% 401k match, and 20 days of paid time off plus more.
