Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our international sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities within the Industrial sector across North America.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and Pursue New Business Opportunities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the North American market for plastic components in the industrial sector.

Develop and Implement Sales Strategies

Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve growth and market penetration targets.

Build and Nurture Relationships

Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers to understand customer needs and offer tailored solutions.

Lead Contract Negotiations

Lead contract negotiations and close deals with new clients, ensuring mutual satisfaction and alignment with company goals.

Collaborate with Internal Teams

Collaborate with internal teams (engineering, production, quality) to deliver customized solutions.

Monitor Market Trends

Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies and identify new opportunities.

Manage Sales Pipeline

Manage sales pipeline and forecast accurately using CRM tools.

Prepare and Present Proposals

Prepare and present compelling proposals that showcase our capabilities and value proposition.

Represent the Company

Represent the company at industry events to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.

Achieve Sales Targets

Achieve sales targets through proactive business development and strategic account management.

Provide Market Insights

Provide market insights to internal teams to drive product development and innovation.

Ensure Compliance

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements in all sales activities.

Requirements

  • Education

Ideally hold a bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field.

Experience

3-5+ years of proven experience in sales or business development in either plastic, packaging, injection molding, blow molding, contract manufacturing, or B2B industrial component sales.

Skills

Strong understanding of plastics, materials science, and manufacturing processes including tooling, plastic processing & assembly processes.

Technical Skills

Ability to read and understand technical drawings and specifications.

Quality Systems

Working knowledge of Quality systems including ISO 90001.

Communication Skills

Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Results-Oriented

Results-oriented with a track record of achieving sales targets.

Collaboration

Ability to work collaboratively within a team and build relationships based on trust.

Benefits

Full-time, direct-hire position with a competitive salary range of $100,000 - $110,000 per annum, negotiable based on experience. Additional benefits include a car allowance, commission bonus, 6% 401k match, and 20 days of paid time off plus more.
