We are seeking a dedicated professional to support the Director of Finance in ensuring that our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. This role is pivotal in maintaining compliance with various regulations and enhancing our financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Finance in adhering to all regulatory requirements, including licenses, contracts, and operational taxes.
  • Conduct thorough analyses of financial data to assist management in achieving the hotel's financial goals.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including bank statements.
  • Oversee daily income audits and ensure critical operational procedures are executed effectively.
  • Manage the hiring, training, and development of finance staff, fostering a culture of growth and accountability.
  • Prepare and direct all financial reports in accordance with established standards and deadlines.
  • Monitor the daily operating report to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Provide administrative support to management regarding policy enforcement and operational advice.
  • Supervise the accounting department's daily functions to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Build strong relationships with department heads to provide financial insights and support.
  • Assist in evaluating departmental financial performance, including variance analysis and budget forecasts.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Finance and other leaders to develop corrective action plans based on audit findings.
  • Support the regional finance director in maximizing profitability across all departments.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly internal benchmarking and operational performance reports.
  • Help implement best practices that enhance revenue, guest satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements and maintain fiduciary responsibility.
  • Review and approve monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts.

Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, ideally within the hospitality or luxury sectors.
  • Strong understanding of procurement principles and practices.
  • Proven ability to drive cost savings and improve processes through strategic initiatives.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with a talent for building relationships.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with legal and regulatory standards in finance and procurement.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • A commitment to professionalism and ethical conduct.
