Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Director of Finance in maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations, contracts, and operational taxes, while assisting management in enforcing these standards.
  • Evaluate financial data and operational performance to guide management in achieving the hotel's financial goals.
  • Ensure timely reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts, including bank statements.
  • Oversee daily income audits and ensure adherence to critical operational procedures, including credit card processing and cash management.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor finance staff, fostering their professional growth and development.
  • Prepare and manage financial reports in accordance with established standards and deadlines.
  • Monitor the accurate generation of daily operating reports for the hotel.
  • Provide administrative support to management regarding policy enforcement and operational guidance.
  • Supervise the daily activities of the accounting department to ensure effective work practices.
  • Ensure the accounting team adheres to the company's financial policies and procedures.
  • Build strong relationships with department heads and senior management to provide financial insights and support.
  • Assist in analyzing departmental financial performance, variances, forecasts, and budgets.
  • Fulfill fiduciary responsibilities by ensuring compliance with accounting policies and standards.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in finance, ideally within the hospitality or luxury sectors.
  • In-depth knowledge of procurement practices, including contract negotiation and supplier management.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving cost savings and enhancing processes through strategic procurement.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical abilities, capable of interpreting data and identifying trends for informed decision-making.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory frameworks related to procurement and supply chain management.
  • Effective leadership and team-building capabilities, inspiring a team to reach shared objectives.
  • A steadfast commitment to professionalism, integrity, and ethical standards.
