OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:
We are looking for a proactive individual contributor to assist the Controller in various intricate finance and accounting functions. The Accounting Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting finance transformation projects and will be involved in the monthly closing process across several critical areas. This position will also focus on advocating for process enhancements to boost the efficiency and effectiveness of our finance and accounting team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Engage in significant process enhancement initiatives such as the preparation and review of financial statements, accounting for salaries and related expenses, and production bonus accounting along with associated analyses.
  • Contribute to month-end closing activities, which include preparing and/or reviewing accounting journal entries, conducting account analyses, preparing schedules for various expenditures, and preparing and/or reviewing assigned account reconciliations.
  • Assist the Controller in upholding internal controls and the protection of assets.
  • Act as the system administrator for essential accounting software applications.
  • Participate in the year-end audit process through effective planning and coordination between the finance and accounting team and external auditors.
  • Contribute to the annual budgeting process; collaborate with the Controller and Finance Director to establish suitable budget assumptions; maintain a comprehensive understanding of the budget to facilitate variance analysis throughout the fiscal year.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support finance and accounting initiatives and objectives.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting is mandatory.
  • Preferred qualifications include MAcc, MBA, or CPA.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience, ideally starting in a Big Four public accounting firm, consulting firm, or finance and accounting group.
  • Proficiency in advanced Excel; experience with ERP systems; familiarity with NetSuite is a strong advantage; knowledge of OneStream is also beneficial.
  • Thorough understanding of GAAP and experience managing complex accounting issues.
  • Experience with ledger consolidations and international accounting practices is a significant plus.
  • Experience in transformation or process improvement initiatives within a finance and accounting context.
