Salary & Benefits$90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year, depending on experience. Job DescriptionThe Director of Dining Services will serve as the strategic business leader of the community's food and beverage operation, ensuring resident and client satisfaction by providing a consistently high-quality product and best-in-class hospitality while meeting financial goals and driving a positive work environment. This role will oversee the development and implementation of departmental strategies, ensure implementation of the Compass Community Living service strategy, and be the face of the company.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement overall operating strategy aligned with the Compass Community Living business strategy, disseminate the vision within the community, and ensure all team members understand expectations.
- Maintain a professional and positive demeanor with a high level of resilience during stressful periods, adapt to situations, and make recommendations to person(s) involved.
- Directs and conducts safety, sanitation, and maintenance programs.
- Ensures regular communication occurs in all areas of food and beverage by leading pre-meal briefings and staff meetings.
- Advise executives, supervisors, co-workers, and subordinates on relevant information in a timely manner.
- Reviews financial reports and statements to determine how the account is performing against budget.
- Works with team to resolve areas of concern and develop strategies to improve the department's financial performance.
- Empowers employees to provide excellent service that exceeds resident and client satisfaction.
- Create a positive work environment by serving as a role model, demonstrating appropriate behaviors, making each person feel important and motivated, and delivering a best-in-class hospitality experience.
- Establishes goals including performance goals, budget goals, team goals, etc.
A minimum of 5-7 years of direct foodservice operational management experience with inventory and purchasing knowledge and control is required. A B.S. Degree in Food Services Technology/Management or related field, or an A.A. Degree plus four years of directly related experience, is preferred. Strong supervisory, leadership, management, and coaching skills are necessary. Excellent financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills are required. Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs, email, and the Internet, are also necessary. ServSafe certification is highly desired.
