Compensation Overview

Annual earnings range from $70,000 to $85,000, consisting of a base hourly wage complemented by commission.

Key Responsibilities

Flowers Bakeries Sales of NorCal, LLC is seeking a motivated and high-achieving Route Sales Specialist.

The Route Sales Specialist (RSS) is tasked with the ordering, selling, and delivering of fresh baked goods. The ideal candidate will present a professional appearance and excel in building and nurturing customer relationships. Daily responsibilities include vehicle inspections, maintaining accurate records, promptly reporting maintenance concerns, and completing daily logs.

This role requires flexibility in work schedules, with early morning starts typically around 3:00 AM and designated days off.

The RSS is also responsible for enhancing sales through strategic shelf space expansion, creative in-store displays, and ensuring optimal product shelf life through proper rotation.

Successful RSS candidates will leverage data and marketing strategies to foster customer relationships and drive growth through effective communication, planning, and execution. Adaptability is crucial, as RSSs must service accounts during designated customer service windows and may need to work outside traditional hours.

A willingness to learn about the industry and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively are essential for success in a Direct Store Delivery (DSD) environment.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in sales.
  • Experience in delivery.
  • High school diploma or GED.
Essential Job Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Possess a valid driver's license for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
  • Hold a valid state driver's license with a documented safe driving record.
  • Meet Fleet Insurance Guidelines.
  • Comply with federal, state, and local regulations regarding CMV operation.
  • Successfully complete RSR training after a 4-week company-paid program.
  • Ability to regularly push or pull up to 50 lbs.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is advantageous, but not mandatory.
