About This Opportunity
Apellis Pharmaceuticals is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Director to lead our efforts in the South Central region. This is a critical first-line leader role that requires strong leadership skills, business acumen, and the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of sales professionals to achieve sales goals and targets
- Develop and implement local sales business plans to drive market penetration and share growth
- Continuously monitor and analyze regional performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders to drive business success
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activity to inform business decisions
- Manage region budget; plan and execute strategic spend
- Provide regular updates and insights to corporate leadership on regional performance, market trends, and competitor activity
- Attract, develop and retain top talent sales professionals preferably with Nephrology, Hematology, and/or rare disease experience
- Ensure compliance with all Apellis and governmental policies, procedures, and regulations

Requirements
- 3+ years front line sales management and/or strategic account management, with 6+ years progressive pharma/related industry experience
- Proven experience in expanding and leading high-performing sales teams, driving success through product launches and growth initiatives
- Strong business planning, organization, analytics, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Highly effective collaborator who values cross-functional partnership
- Strong clinical acumen with the ability to effectively communicate complex scientific data
- Self-motivated to take the initiative
- Estimated salary: $160,000 - $220,000 per year
