Job Overview

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE:

The objective of this role is to assist current clients with product choices while driving new sales by actively pursuing leads generated through the Customer Relationship Management System for both Rockford Ball Screw and Rockford Linear Motion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee new and ongoing customer projects and participate in APQP meetings to ensure timely execution.
  • Utilize the Material Resource Planning system to predict customer demand and contribute to SIOP meetings.
  • Ensure customer satisfaction through continuous post-sale communication and relationship management; address any issues that may arise after the sale.
  • Maintain communication with current and former clients through webinars, informing them of new products, services, and enhancements that may interest them.
  • Manage existing and potential customer databases by effectively using the Customer Relationship Management system.
  • Prepare customer quotes, proposals, and manage opportunities within the CRM.
  • Identify potential clients by managing and qualifying new leads and/or following up on inbound and outbound inquiries.
  • Respond to sales calls and provide technical assistance to the customer base.
  • Research new potential clients through outbound cold calls and emails.
  • Act as internal sales support for external field sales by assigned territories.
  • Analyze existing customer account data for quarterly reviews.
  • Obtain and monitor blanket orders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain departments.
  • Travel as necessary to visit key accounts (approximately 5% travel).
  • Train new team members in customer service, sales processes, and policies.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and supportive work environment.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Associate degree or equivalent skills and experience required.

Experience:

  • A minimum of 3 years of sales experience with direct account management preferred.
  • Experience with CRM systems preferred.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Proficiency in computer programs including MAPICS and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Understanding of basic negotiation principles.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Quality-focused mindset.
