Job Overview

Katy Spring & Mfg. Inc. is in search of a proactive and results-driven Business Development Specialist. As a frontrunner in the precision spring manufacturing sector, we are dedicated to quality and innovation. We seek a skilled individual who can assist in broadening our market reach, fostering enduring client partnerships, and uncovering new business prospects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify potential markets and trends, target customers, and formulate strategies to engage them.
  • Generate new business and cultivate relationships with prospective clients to meet sales objectives.
  • Maintain and document information in Katy Spring's CRM system.
  • Engage with current clients to sustain relationships.
  • Revitalize relationships with underperforming customers by devising new strategies and solutions to enhance existing business.
  • Develop and nurture customer relationships at various organizational levels.
  • Contribute to sales meetings and provide updates on pipeline and other sales-related matters to the sales team.
  • Prepare and present technical demonstrations that articulate Katy Spring's products and services to clients and potential clients.
  • Address and resolve customer inquiries related to sales and service.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary.

Compensation Package:

  • Competitive base salary ranging from $60K to $70K, in addition to commission.
  • Comprehensive benefits package including a 401K plan with matching contributions.
  • Health insurance options with 75% of costs covered by Katy Spring, including:
    • Three health plan choices
    • Dental, vision, and life insurance coverage

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of experience in manufacturing or industrial sales.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in any discipline.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong skills in account management, acquisition, retention, and development.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Capacity to quickly learn about new industries.
  • High level of initiative, sound judgment, and self-motivation.
  • Proficient in Customer Relationship Management systems to manage business relationships and associated data.
