Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Loss Prevention Market Manager to join our team at Academy Sports + Outdoors. As a key member of our asset protection team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective loss prevention strategies to protect our stores and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and monitor performance of loss prevention programs, policies, and procedures for assigned regions of stores.
  • Act as a key strategic partner for District Managers and their Store Directors on asset protection, theft, and loss prevention and safety/security best practices.
  • Lead a team of investigators who support store-level issues or incidents to prevent frequent shrink and execute shortage control.
  • Leverage regional loss prevention data and analytics to identify root causes and recommend strategies to address hot market issues.
  • Partner with Store leadership to coach, train, and educate store team members about mitigating theft and shrink.
  • Identify and recommend enhancements to existing programs and processes to mitigate loss.
  • Promote and drive organizational safety initiatives.
  • Learn, follow, and enforce company policies and safety procedures.
  • Adhere to company work hours, policies, procedures, and rules governing professional staff behavior.
Requirements
  • Acceptable level of hearing and vision to perform job duties.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Based out of assigned district, and travel up to 50% of the time to stores in surrounding districts or markets.
