About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Office Coordinator to join our team at Ascension Saint Thomas. This role will provide administrative and clerical support to patients and customers in a medical setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet patients and visitors, check patients in and out, and obtain necessary documentation.
  • Verify and enter demographic information, obtain insurance authorizations/precertification, complete medical record release requests, and schedule/confirms patient appointments.
  • Enter, review, and submit charges for patient procedures and services daily, collect co-payments, and reconcile all daily reports and deposits for accuracy.
  • Provide general office and clerical support to assigned area.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Estimated Salary: $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on location and experience.
