Job Title: Account Manager

At FedEx Logistics, we are seeking a highly skilled Account Manager to join our team. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and expanding our relationships with national customers, providing exceptional customer service, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and expand relationships with national customers to drive business growth and increase revenue.
  • Develop and maintain strong business relationships with customers' main contacts to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Identify and communicate customer needs, and work with internal teams to provide solutions and drive business growth.
  • Monitor and analyze customer satisfaction metrics, and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Collaborate with sales and operations teams to set up new accounts, develop standard operating procedures, and ensure smooth transitions.
  • Serve as the primary communication link between customers and internal teams, including operations, information systems, accounting, and customer account management.
  • Identify and resolve customer problems and needs, and work with internal teams to provide solutions.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records and databases, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Develop and implement customer satisfaction measures, quality metrics, and performance standards based on customer requirements.
  • Provide counsel to customers on government import, export, and product requirements, and other logistics matters.
  • Coordinate and present data for key performance indicators (KPIs) and service quality indicators (SQIs) for top and mid-tier customers.
  • Prepare quarterly business reviews (QBRs) with top and mid-tier customers, and generate special reports to meet customer needs.
  • Participate in QBR meetings with customers via phone or face-to-face meetings.
  • Review Letters of Credit and monitor, address, and delegate iServe Cases.
  • Responsible for EDI implementation projects and IT projects related to customers.
  • Responsible for lane development and meeting KPI goals set by customers.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred.
  • Three (3) years of experience in international freight forwarding in operations and/or sales services activities.
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) to organize ideas and make clear, logical, and persuasive presentations.
  • Familiarity with ocean, air, warehouse, and surface transportation procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain effective relationships with customers, managers, and supervisors.
  • A high standard of performance to promote quality both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated project or account management skills.
