Key Responsibilities:
- Compliance Management: Ensure adherence to all relevant environmental regulations and internal policies, continuously monitoring changes in legal requirements.
- Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate complex environmental risks, fostering a culture of safety and awareness among team members.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Maintain knowledge of environmental and sustainability best practices, aligning them with operational risks.
- Incident Management: Lead investigations into environmental incidents, conducting thorough analyses to prevent future occurrences.
- Training Development: Create and implement training programs on environmental health and safety topics for employees.
- Program Evaluation: Regularly assess the effectiveness of the site's environmental and sustainability programs.
- Leadership: Exhibit strong leadership qualities, promoting accountability and positive behavior among team members.
- Technological Integration: Utilize digital tools to enhance decision-making processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Project Management: Manage projects effectively, ensuring timely execution and adaptation to change.
- Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment, emphasizing continuous improvement and value creation.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, or a related field.
- Over 7 years of experience in environmental management within a manufacturing context.
- Proven leadership experience of at least 2 years.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with all organizational levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., PE).
- Experience in consumer products industries.
