As a key player in the mortgage process, the Mortgage Closing Specialist serves as the primary contact between our members, the loan originator, and the title company, ensuring a seamless and high-quality experience throughout the mortgage closing journey. At Community First Credit Union, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and support to our members. If you thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy meeting deadlines while assisting others, this role may be ideal for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage various loan types including purchase, refinance, construction, renovation, and land loans.
- Compile and submit the closing documentation to the title company.
- Prepare the finalized closing package for servicing to ensure proper loan booking in our internal servicing system upon receipt from the title company.
- Confirm that all conditions required prior to closing have been satisfied.
- Ensure compliance of all documents with applicable federal and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of experience in lending, with a preference for prior mortgage experience.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities, along with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with web-based software applications.
