Key Responsibilities:

The Executive Vice President of Finance will be an integral member of the Senior Leadership team at Cheshire Medical Center. Core responsibilities encompass the formulation and execution of financial strategic initiatives and objectives, along with financial forecasting, analysis, and decision-making support pertinent to business performance metrics. This leader will provide assessments of performance against operational budgets and communicate overall financial outcomes to inform future strategies. The successful candidate will ensure compliance with governmental regulations and adherence to GAAP and industry standards while continuously evaluating and mitigating financial risks. This role demands a commitment to fostering teamwork, collaboration, and partnership among management and staff at all levels, as well as with external contractors.

This prominent position necessitates adept change management skills and the ability to effectively implement new strategies.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related discipline is required. A master's degree is highly preferred.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a healthcare setting.
  • Experience in a non-profit, community hospital context, as well as within a complex, matrixed health system, is advantageous.
