Research Project Manager

This position is dedicated to the research and development of programs and initiatives for the Northern New England CO-OP Practice and Community Based Research Network (NNE CO-OP PCBRN) housed in the Department of Community and Family Medicine at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Concord.
The role involves managing, coordinating, and developing programs and initiatives for the network under the direction of the NNE CO-OP PCBRN and department leadership. The individual in this position will lead the implementation of assigned project activities and provide collaborative leadership to project assistants and partners.
Responsibilities
Organize and manage the implementation of project activities, including evaluations, data collection and management, project coordination, and collaborative relations.
Coordinate and attend meetings to determine project requirements and participate in establishing timelines and project organization.
Maintain the organization of the NNE CO-OP PCBRN website and assist with recruiting, maintaining, and updating the NNE CO-OP PCBRN membership database.
Collaborate with local and national academic, community, and clinical networks to identify new opportunities and develop relevant programs and initiatives.
Organize and execute the annual NNE CO-OP PCBRN meeting.
Build and sustain relationships with community-based practices and organizations.
Address questions, concerns, and suggestions from NNE CO-OP PCBRN members.
Track and manage network activity and collaborate with partners to assure the integrity of project and timely problem resolution.
Manage data collection and analysis, providing required reports and maintaining high standards of data security.
Monitor ongoing project plans, progress, budgets, and expenditures and effectively communicate project status to leaders as applicable.
Prepare and initiate completion timelines and ensure all required project close out documents are obtained.
May develop training and instructional materials, manuals, and toolkits as needed.
Assist in proposal writing and participate in the development of papers and presentations.
Assist with research finances, including processing invoices for payment.
Participate in project review and recommend ideas for improvement initiatives.
Assist and guide project assistants and other partners and supervise project staff as required.
Perform various tasks as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in an applicable field of study with five (5) years of research experience or the equivalent of education and research required.
Master's Degree or PhD or foreign equivalent in a relevant field, preferred.
Comprehensive knowledge of research methods, procedures, and techniques.
Experience in animal models may be required.
Previous project-related work involving complex scheduling and communications preferred.
Exceptional organizational and management skills to plan and organize the research approach and project parameters.
Grant writing/management experience preferred.
Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of computer software applications used for research investigations.
