Omaha Airport Authority Seeks Talented Accounts Receivable and General Accounting Professional

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounts Receivable and General Accounting Specialist to join our team at the Omaha Airport Authority. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable process, invoicing clients, analyzing accounts, and supporting the accounting department in various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update monthly financial reports and accurately invoice clients.
  • Analyze accounts receivable, assess finance charges, and manage collections.
  • Assist with month-end reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Coordinate procurement processes, negotiate pricing, and ensure timely product delivery.
  • Prepare vendor packets, verify 1099 status, and maintain vendor accounts.
  • Maintain a secure workstation, ensure confidentiality, and perform backup duties as needed.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and procurement practices.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.
  • Proficiency in Excel and willingness to learn new software.
