Company Overview: PETADATA is seeking to fill the role of Appian BPM Developer for a prominent client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and testing user management business processes within the Appian platform, focusing on document management, user access, and user summary dashboards.
  • Collaboration with teams is essential to ensure that applications are implemented according to best practices in design, performance, and security.
  • Emphasis on business logic and process flows is crucial, including the design and development of business logic, process models/flows, and user interface screens for a BPM-based system.
  • Preparation and maintenance of application and security documentation as per client requests will be required.
  • Leading the build, testing, and delivery of intelligent automation solutions utilizing industry-leading vendor technologies is expected.
  • Support for data migration activities, including mapping data elements, utilizing ETL tools, and writing stored procedures for data migration across various databases.
  • Close coordination with team members to ensure proper fixes, unit testing, and configuration management is necessary.
  • Implementation of functionality and troubleshooting of issues using foundational knowledge of web development languages, protocols, and technologies (HTML, CSS, HTTP, JSON) is required.
  • Demonstration of new functionalities to business stakeholders and key end users to refine business processes and UI elements within an Agile software development cycle.
  • Development of Structured Query Language (SQL), updating data models, and implementing common database best practices (indexes, triggers, and data structure) is essential.
  • Ensuring software maintains data integrity, security, and adheres to best practice standards is a must.
  • Development of custom applications for public sector clients, alongside providing thought leadership and guidance to enhance Appian Automation services.

Required Skills:

  • 10+ years of experience in Appian, with a proven track record in building solutions and delivering mission-critical applications on the Appian platform (version 22.X is mandatory).
  • In-depth knowledge of version control systems and code repositories, with a preference for Git.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Appian Objects (including Records, Reports, Tasks, News, Sites, Actions, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Interface Rules, CDTs, UI SAIL, and Process Models).
  • Familiarity with App Servers (JBOSS, TOMCAT) and Web Servers (Apache) is necessary.
  • Expertise in HTML, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, JavaScript, and Ajax is required.
  • Experience with end-to-end Appian BPM implementations (Design / Develop / Deploy / Package) is essential.
  • Experience in integrating with Web Services (SOAP and REST) and ESBs such as MuleSoft is necessary.
  • Sound knowledge of Appian Process/Solution and Infrastructure Architecture is required.
  • Expertise in full software life cycle development methodologies, particularly Agile, is expected.
  • Strong experience with Appian Tool, focusing on Appian Application and Interface design is necessary.
  • Knowledge of Application Security (Encryption/Decryption, TLS/SSL, Digital Certificate) and SSO (SAML, OAuth) is essential.
  • Familiarity with the latest Appian releases, including process mining, AI, and RPA capabilities is preferred.
  • Experience with Cloud Migration (on-prem to cloud and vice versa) and DB Migration is a plus.
  • APPIAN Certification is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and communication skills are essential.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
