Key Responsibilities:

  • The selected candidate will be responsible for developing and validating user management business process designs within the Appian platform, focusing on document management, user access, and user summary dashboards.
  • Collaboration with teams is essential to ensure the implementation of applications adheres to design best practices, performance metrics, and security protocols.
  • The role requires a strong emphasis on business logic and process flows, involving the design and development of business logic, process models/flows, and user interface screens for a BPM-based system.
  • Preparation and maintenance of application and security documentation as required by stakeholders will be necessary.
  • Leadership in the build, testing, and delivery of intelligent automation solutions utilizing industry-leading technologies is expected.
  • Support for data migration tasks, including mapping data elements, utilizing ETL tools, and writing stored procedures for data transfer between various databases.
  • Close coordination with team members to ensure effective fixes, unit testing, and configuration management is critical.
  • Implementation of functionality and troubleshooting of issues will require a foundational understanding of web development languages, protocols, and technologies (HTML, CSS, HTTP, JSON).
  • Demonstration of new functionalities to business stakeholders and key end users will be necessary to refine business processes and UI elements in an Agile development cycle.
  • Development of Structured Query Language (SQL), updating data models, and applying common database best practices (indexes, triggers, and data structure) will be part of the role.
  • Ensuring software integrity, security, and adherence to best practice standards is a must.
  • Development of custom applications for public sector clients, along with providing guidance and thought leadership in shaping and enhancing Appian Automation services.

Required Skills:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Appian, with a proven track record in building solutions and delivering mission-critical applications on the Appian platform (version 22.X required).
  • In-depth knowledge of version control systems and code repositories, preferably Git.
  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience with Appian Objects (including Records, Reports, Tasks, News, Sites, Actions, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Interface Rules, CDTs, UI SAIL, and Process Models).
  • Familiarity with App Servers such as JBOSS and TOMCAT, as well as Web Servers like Apache.
  • Expertise in HTML, HTML5, CSS, JSON, XML, JavaScript, and Ajax is required.
  • Experience with end-to-end Appian BPM implementations (Design / Develop / Deploy / Package) is essential.
  • Experience in integrating with Web Services (both SOAP and REST) and ESBs such as MuleSoft is necessary.
  • Solid understanding of Appian Process/Solution and Infrastructure Architecture.
  • Expertise in full software life cycle development methodologies, particularly Agile.
  • Strong experience with Appian Tool, focusing on Appian Application and Interface design.
  • Knowledge of Application Security (Encryption/Decryption, TLS/SSL, Digital Certificate) and SSO (SAML, OAuth) is essential.
  • Familiarity with the latest Appian releases, including process mining, AI, and RPA capabilities.
  • Experience with Cloud Migration (on-prem to cloud and vice versa) and Database Migration is a plus.
  • APPIAN Certification is advantageous.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills are required.

Educational Qualification:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
