Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients, administering prescribed medications and treatments in alignment with nursing best practices.
  • Ensure examination rooms are well-stocked and maintained, preparing necessary medical supplies and assisting physicians during patient evaluations and procedures.
  • Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions and responses to treatments, educating patients and their families on health management and medication.
  • Facilitate timely appointments for patients experiencing emergencies, providing guidance and preparation for physician assessments.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation, ensuring all test results and examinations are properly recorded.
  • Respond to patient inquiries related to treatment and medications, providing clear instructions and preparing prescriptions as required.
  • Perform clerical tasks such as preparing forms and correspondence as needed.
  • Adhere to OSHA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Collaborate with colleagues in cross-training initiatives and assist in the training of staff on clinical procedures and equipment.

Qualifications:

Education: RN degree required; BSN preferred.

Experience: A minimum of one year of professional nursing experience is required, with clinic experience being advantageous.

Licensure: Must hold a valid RN license in the state of North Carolina.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of nursing theory, regulations, and practices for effective patient care.
  • Awareness of safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.
  • Proficient in applying nursing principles and techniques for ongoing patient care.
  • Adept at problem-solving and proposing effective solutions.
  • Skilled in record-keeping, report writing, and correspondence.
  • Ability to uphold quality control standards and respond effectively in emergencies.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Work Environment:

This position involves a combination of office and clinical settings, with potential exposure to communicable diseases and other health-related risks typical in a healthcare environment.

Physical and Mental Demands:

The role requires a range of physical activities, including standing, walking, and lifting. Candidates must possess the ability to handle and lift patients, maintain manual dexterity, and endure extended periods of standing and walking. Occasional lifting of items up to 50 pounds may be necessary, along with the capacity to work under pressure or during irregular hours.
