Position Overview

The Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care, overseeing nursing tasks, and facilitating the assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of patient care to ensure the highest quality of service, in alignment with the organization's mission and nursing principles, goals, and standards. The Clinical Nurse has complete access to patient health records.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse License in North Carolina.
  • Certifications: BLS certification is mandatory.
  • Advanced Certifications: ACLS certification is required within one year of employment.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support: PALS certification is required within one year of employment.
  • Orientation: Successful completion of a hospital and unit-specific orientation, which includes age and population-specific competencies relevant to the area of practice.
  • Physical Requirements: Must demonstrate a full range of body motion to successfully complete a basic FIT test, including bending, stooping, standing, and sitting for prolonged periods. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds is essential.
