Job Summary:

The Office of Clerk Circuit Court is seeking a highly motivated individual to provide clerical support to the Clerk and Comptroller in their role as Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners. This position involves performing specialized clerical work, including recordkeeping of documents approved by the Board of County Commissioners, processing ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other documents from BCC meetings, and communicating effectively with management, government officials, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record and maintain accurate and up-to-date records of Board of County Commissioners documents.
  • Process and prepare documents for BCC meetings, including ordinances, resolutions, and contracts.
  • Perform Value Adjustment Board functions, including data entry and recordkeeping.
  • Communicate effectively with management, government officials, and staff to ensure seamless operations.
  • Assist with administrative projects to support the Clerk of the Board Department.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three years of responsible experience in clerical/secretarial support functions, including applied knowledge in recording minutes and maintaining records, or equivalent combination of certification, training, and/or experience.
  • Valid Florida driver's license required.
  • May need to meet Clerk's testing requirements.

Work Environment:
  • Sitting for long periods of time.
  • Talking, hearing, seeing, and repetitive motion.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds.
