Business Development Manager

LifeSTEPS is seeking a highly skilled Business Development Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of business relationships, including responding to requests for resident service plans, negotiating service contracts, and preparing documents for funding and implementation of social service programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and facilitate business relationships with low-income real estate developers, governmental agencies, and property management companies.
  • Negotiate service contracts and agreements, including services to be provided, staffing levels, and service budgets.
  • Prepare documents for funding and implementation of social service programs, including service plans, budgets, memoranda of understanding, and service agreements.
  • Develop deep knowledge and understanding of regulations relating to the development of low-income communities, including low-income tax credit regulations.
  • Conduct research and identify opportunities for new, innovative programs aimed at housing vulnerable populations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field, with an interest in non-profit business development.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in related fields.
  • Excellent analytic, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Effective prioritization and organizational skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, manage and motivate internal and external teams.
